- Er quittiert gerade den Erwerb eines ziemlich coolen Bügelbrettes?
- Er schreibt sich gerade bei einem "privaten Sicherheitsunternehmen" der US-Army ein, und zwar als Ninja mit drei(!) nagelneuen in gelbe Folie gepackten Schwertern?
- Er muß amtlich bestätigen, daß er plemplem ist?
- Er versucht krampfhaft, an der Dame mit der grünen Mütze vorbeizuschauen, um kein Brett zu bekommen? (Uups )
- Er beweist, daß Barfußläufer ihr Brett nicht vor dem Kopf haben?

Was macht dieser Mann? Er wählt vermutlich den Falschen zum Präsidenten .
Die Amerikaner scheinen recht einfallsreich zu sein, wo sie Wahllokale einrichten. Es scheint, die Wahllokale gehen zu den Leuten und nicht umgekehrt, wie bei uns - das finde ich cool .

In amerikanischen Foren gab es Diskussionen über barfuss zur Wahl gehen. Hier ein paar Beispiele:



My voting locale was in a church, I voted barefoot.



I voted barefoot yesterday too. My polling place was at a elementary school. There was a guy at the door, who asked me to turn my cell phone off. I did notice he glanced at my feet, but that was it. On to the check in person. She also glanced but only asked for my ID, to sign by my name, and to go get a voting ticket. The lady at the ticket machine also did a glance, handed me a ticket and told me which side to use. I cast my ballot barefoot. Just the way it should be... with no discrimination over footwear.

Yes, I will vote BF. There have been 2 local elections since I started BF'ing in May 2011, and I was barefoot at both of them. However both times I went after work and there were no lines anyway.

Probably not. My wife and I always vote together, she would'nt want to be seen with me BF in that situation.

I look forward to this every year and especially in a Presidential Election. This is a day I enjoy the freedom to not only vote but to enjoy my self expression at the voting place whether people like it or not.

Dear friends,

Yes, vote barefoot – but NO, vote republican, change the «change» which was a flop. 4 more years Obama would run down the USA to the level of a banana republic. – Although, in a banana republic more people would be barefoot , but if it’s under compulsion due to lack of money, this is not good and sad. I am barefoot for fun voluntarily because I love it .

Thanks for your confidence ! But let me first finish my studies and then gather some work experience and then, from 2025 to 2032 I migth think about a presidency .

I'm 16 and Swiss-American citizen. I live in Switzerland but my dad has an apartment in New York and a house in Miami. I look forward to being in Miami again this year during the Christmas holidays and meeting my American friends. I love Miami, it’s beach, surfing and the girls . Would love to meet you too then. Egal, der Richtige hat ja trotzdem gewonnen ...


Die Kultur mit den Wahllokalen zu den Leuten zu kommen, finde ich super. Dabei auf Software zu vertrauen, nicht. Und die Regelung, daß alle Wahlmänner eines Staats (ausgenommen zwei Staaten) geschlossen für den selben Präsidenten stimmen, selbst wenn das Ergebnis nur 51:49 lautet, halte ich für einen Anachronismus. Das verschafft den bevölkerrungsreichen Staaten überproportional viel Gewicht.

Aber letztendlich zählt eh nur, ob Demokratie barfuß ausgeübt wird oder in Schuhen ...
